NDA 2021 Syllabus and Exam Pattern | UPSC NDA 2021
The Union Public Service Commission holds a national-level entrance exam twice a year for admission of the eligible candidates in the prestigious National Defence Academy (NDA). It is one of the valiant defence academies of the world which trains cadets of all the three wings both academically and physically. National Defence Academy (NDA) is the first tri-service academy of the world located in Khadakwasla, Pune, Maharashtra. In order to appear for the NDA exam, the candidates need to apply online through the official website of the exam-conducting body https://upsconline.nic.in/ once the official notification is out.
The candidates should have passed 10+2 examination in any stream from a recognized board to ensure their eligibility for the Army Wing of National Defence Academy. However, those candidates who wish to join the Air Force or Navy should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as mandatory subjects.

Total Marks - 300
Positive Marking - 2.5 marks for each right answer
Negative Marking - 1/3 (deduction of 0.83 marks)
Paper II (General Ability Test - GAT)
Time - 2 Hours 30 Minutes
No. of Questions - 150 (50 Questions from English)
Total Marks - 600
Positive Marking - 4 marks for every right answer
Negative Marking - 1/3 (deduction of 1.33 marks)
